About this position

The Head of Finance for Ambient Operations is responsible for defining and executing the financial strategy of the business unit, ensuring alignment with overarching profitability and revenue targets while managing financial risks and improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Finance Strategy: Define and execute BU's financial strategy, creating a comprehensive financial plan for all geographical markets in which the BU operates. Ensure that BU's Financial strategy is in line with TU Group's overarching profitability and revenue targets. Oversee the management and prediction of BU-specific financial risks, such as volatility in commodity prices and general market volatility.
• Manufacturing Finance Policies, Frameworks, Processes & Programs: Drive continuous improvement in effectiveness and efficiency by managing and optimizing controlling and local accounting and finance transaction process frameworks used by BU in alignment with standards set out by the Group. Spearhead initiatives to improve BU operational efficiency and oversee the implementation of advanced financial systems. Oversee end-to-end BU performance and set finance function metrics for each manufacturing process step.
• Manufacturing Controlling: Act as a trusted advisor for business leaders, advising the BU on areas of improvement and providing decision support to functions to drive informed business growth and development. Develop a comprehensive BU plan for Controlling, including the annual plan, budget, and forecast, ensuring alignment with Group Controlling standards. Oversee and evaluate the financial performance of BU against planned targets and KPIs, re-prioritizing initiatives based on business strategy as needed.
• Localized Accounting & Finance Support: Oversee BU local accounting and financial transactions across markets, ensuring compliance with local and international standards and regulatory requirements and adherence to accounting standards set out by the Group. Oversee the preparation of financial reports according to local BU requirements, including P&L statements in the local language, local tax documents and balance sheet reports.
• People: Motivate, lead and challenge team members to reach / exceed function and individual targets and objectives. Improve and sustain employee engagement scores across the Finance function, maintaining scores within the top quartile. Build a longer-term view/plan around people, enabling succession plans at different levels.

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with a strong track record of senior leadership roles in finance within the manufacturing or consumer goods sector.
• Minimum 10 years of executive or senior-level experience managing end-to-end finance operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, and performance management for manufacturing business units.
• Extensive experience overseeing global finance operations across multiple geographical locations, particularly in high-complexity and high-volatility environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk management, financial systems implementation, and aligning BU finance strategy with broader organizational objectives.
• Extensive knowledge in cost management, COGS analysis, and budget control.
• Strong command of IFRS, GAAP, and multi-jurisdictional compliance, aligned with both local and Group standards.
• Proficient in financial reporting systems and analytics too.
