About this position

The Credit Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the collections process, managing credit risks, and ensuring compliance with credit control policies while leading a team to achieve credit control objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the collections process to ensure timely recovery of outstanding debts.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts and bad debts.
• Communicate with clients about overdue payments, negotiate payment plans, and settle accounts.
• Manage and monitor the collections team's performance by setting targets and KPIs.
• Prepare regular reports on collection activities, outstanding debts, and progress.
• Analyze collection data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Ensure all collection activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Implement and maintain credit control policies and procedures to effectively manage credit risks.
• Evaluate client creditworthiness and determine appropriate credit limits based on financial data and business performance.
• Monitor compliance with established credit terms and resolve overdue account issues promptly.
• Analyze high-risk accounts and develop strategies to minimize potential credit losses.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve credit-related concerns.
• Ensure all credit control practices align with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and analyze credit control reports, highlighting metrics such as outstanding accounts and credit performance.
• Identify trends and provide actionable insights to improve credit processes.
• Present credit performance updates and risk assessments to senior management.
• Partner with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to align credit control strategies with overall business goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries about credit terms and conditions.
• Communicate effectively with international clients and internal stakeholders in English to ensure seamless credit operations.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on credit management best practices.
• Foster a proactive and collaborative approach to achieving credit control objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in credit control, credit risk assessment, or a similar financial role.
• Strong understanding of credit policies, financial regulations, and risk management strategies.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and credit management software.
• Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken).
