Quality New Model Manager
About this position
The Quality New Model Manager is responsible for developing and managing quality systems, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure optimal performance in line with company policies and vision.
Responsibilities
• Strategy and Development - Contribute to the setting job standard and OKR department
- To provide the problems and operating improvement in accordance with the company policy and vision
• General and Task Management - Develops, implements and manages the quality systems and new project control system to meet the customer's requirements
- Drive functional excellence of the quality engineering team
- Drive continuous improvement activities in quality and process improvement
- Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards and systems
- Monitoring performance
- Performs other duties as assigned
• People Management - Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with the company policy
- Motivate and coach the team to operational success
- Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
• Financial Budget and Control - Hold responsibility for departmental budget
- Responsible for achieving budget and forecast
• Relationship Management - Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the manufacturing strategy
- Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on manufacturing design and development. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimising cost
- Ensure an effective interface with other departmental staff is maintained
Requirements
• Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred
• Membership of an Industry related Professional body would be advantageous
• Able to demonstrate experience of working within a manufacturing environment
• In depth knowledge and experience of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Lean Manufacturing techniques such as Six Sigma
• Experience of Quality Assurance and New Product Control 5-7 years.
