About this position

The Technical Service Engineer is the Postholder for Continuing Airworthiness appointed by the Managing Director, responsible for managing and coordinating various technical aspects related to aircraft maintenance and airworthiness.

Responsibilities

The Technical Service Engineer is responsible for:
• Review and revise the Engineering Company Manual i.e. GMM, AMP, and submit to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager for verification and approval.
• Reporting maintenance data inaccuracies to the type certificate holder or author of affected publications, see Notification of Maintenance Data Inaccuracies.
• Advise on technical aspects of amendments to the Aircraft Maintenance Program for Company aircraft, see Aircraft Maintenance Program Development and Amendment.
• Ensuring the availability of acceptable data for modifications, inspections, and repairs for performing maintenance in-house or contracting, see Data for Modifications, Inspections and Repairs.
• Recording and maintaining an up-to-date list and monitoring completion of ADs within prescribed time limits, see AD Control.
• Assisting the Company in the decision and planning required to embody non-mandatory modifications, see Non-Mandatory Modification Embodiment Policy and ensure the modifications receive timely CAAT approval.
• Issue/review/revise the technical memos, see TAS Technical Memo.
• Contracting design organizations, see Engineering Activity.
• Deferral of defects affecting airworthiness, see Defect Deferral.
• Reporting reportable occurrences to the type certificate holder, see Mandatory Occurrence Reporting.
• Prepare as appropriate instruction of maintenance task exemptions and proposal to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager, see Maintenance Task Exemption.
• Ensuring appropriate tools and equipment are available to maintain aircraft at their operating location, see Use of Tools and Equipment.
• Participation in Fleet Maintenance Review meetings, see Monitoring Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Activities.
• Aircraft acceptance checks, see Aircraft Acceptance After Maintenance.
• Assisting with the development of the Minimum Equipment List (MEL), see Minimum Equipment List.
• Provides access to OEM information (where available) supporting reliability and its analysis, see Reliability.
• Monitor reliability and repetitive defect and advising the improvement as appropriate.
• Prepare appropriate documentation to obtain ferry flight permits from the Competent Authority, see Flight Permit Authorization.
• Monitoring and controlling Corrective and Preventive Action (CPA) reports related to airworthiness management activities, see Corrective and Preventive Action.
• In the event of an accident/incident, prepare the relevant records/documents for release to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager to support the Internal Incident Investigations and Remedial Action.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor’s degree in aircraft maintenance, aerospace engineering or aviation or related fields.
• 2-5 years of technical background in aircraft maintenance programs experience.
• In-depth understanding of aircraft technical and regulatory publications.
• Thai native speaker with excellent written and spoken English skills. (TOEIC 600)
