About this position

The R&D Assistant Manager - Packaging Development is responsible for leading the packaging process, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with food safety standards while developing innovative packaging solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the packaging process to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with food safety standards.
• Conducts project research & development on packaging material, testing, laboratory analysis, commercial test run of packaging material.
• Develops and implements test procedures for the evaluation of materials, work-in-process, and finished products.
• Coordinates and participates new product commercial production test run with production.
• Initiates, reviews and makes change request of Raw Material Specification.
• Develop and implement innovative packaging solutions that align with brand standards, product specifications, and sustainability goals.
• Drive sustainability initiatives, introducing recyclable and biodegradable materials to reduce environmental impact.
• Monitor and control packaging costs while maintaining quality and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Packaging & Material Science and Technology/Engineer or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience on packaging development in Food & Beverage Industry.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, packaging materials, and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management capabilities.
• English proficiency.
