About this position

The Offshore/Subsea Structural Engineer is responsible for performing engineering analyses and design verification for subsea and offshore structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses and design verification.
• Perform Basic and detailed engineering for subsea structure and offshore structures.
• Installation engineering of subsea structures and offshore structures.
• Prepare material take-off documents.
• Prepare engineering reports (calculations, materials, etc.).
• Prepare detailed specifications.
• Perform any task as assigned by project manager/engineering manager.

Requirements

• Master Degree or higher in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Offshore, Marine or similar relevant discipline) Master or Ph.D. degree is preferred.
• Ability to perform proficiently under pressure and time constraints.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and part of a team.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience in steel / reinforced concrete design is an advantage.
• Experience in offshore and onshore oil & gas industry particular to structural design including Topside Deck, Jacket for offshore platform, pre-service (loadout, transportation, lift, flotation and etc.), in-service (in-place, fatigue, boat impact and etc.), Modules for refinery is an advantage.
• Conversant with structural analysis program, e.g. SACS, STAAD Pro, USFOS, ANSYS, ABAQUS, MathCAD etc. is an advantage.
• Conversant with relevant codes and standards related to the Oil and Gas Industry such as API, DNV, AISC, ABS, ANSI/ASME, ISO codes.
• Hold a minimum Level 1 of engineering license is an advantage.
