Administrative Assistant
About this position
The role of Administrative Assistant at Syngenta Crop Protection involves providing administrative support, managing events, and facilitating communications within the Asia Hub - Bangkok office and other global locations.
Responsibilities
The role will include administrative support, event management and communications, interfacing with colleagues within the Asia Hub - Bangkok office and in other global and regional locations.
• To provide effective administrative support for the Asia Hub - Bangkok Office
• To support Head of Business for all administrative and business organizational works with confidentiality
• To support the smooth running of the office operations
• To ensure effective communications, using various collaboration tools including emails, Teams, Viva Engage
• To be responsible for coordination of supply activities for office consumables (stationery, cleaning supplies, kitchen supplies, etc.), follow up third party services and seeking for improvement on the services
• On request to arrange meetings and events, including booking venues, transport and catering, and keeping accurate records.
• To support with onboarding process for New Starters.
• To Raise accurate purchase orders, being aware of relevant information needed to create orders successfully for procurement process requirements on SAP and Ariba
• To support visitors from abroad for travel planning and organization
• Act as a contact point of Asia Hub – Bangkok office for any logistical matters
Requirements
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
• Able to develop good working relationships with the community in Thailand and quickly become familiar with activities where they can provide effective support.
• Good working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Share point, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
• Commitment to providing a responsive and helpful service.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, e.g., support with onboarding new starters, arranging social events and meetings.
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
• Awareness of Agrichemical industry
• Good event management skills
• Experience in creating communications and sharing via social media platforms, e.g., Viva Engage, LinkedIn
• Good level of written and spoken English, knowledge of second language is preferred.
• Good level of MS Office programs, SAP- Ariba knowledge is preferred
