Senior Access Network Planning
About this position
The Senior Access Network Planning position involves understanding customer requirements for WAN and LAN, planning network services, and managing network performance and capacity.
Responsibilities
• Understand and validate customer requirements for WAN, LAN, and network management
• Prepare detailed circuit parameters and records for relevant teams
• Plan and record L2 and L3 layer services and routing protocols (Static, OSFP and BGP)
• Update circuit references in design documents and inventory
• Monitor and utilize network equipment inventory, spare parts management, and equipment upgrades.
• Manage capacity and bandwidth to ensure optimal network performance
• Per circuit & project coordination and communication
• Coordinate with relevant teams for project planning, scheduling, and interruption management
• Forecast future network requirements and plan for capacity expansions to meet growing demand
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Telecom Engineering or Computer
• At least 3 years of experience as a WAN/LAN Network
• Advanced knowledge in L2, FTTx, xPON and L3 routing (Static, OSPF and BGP)
• Proficiency in network design, planning, and implementation tools
• Deep understanding of private links, direct internet links, Point-to-Point, and Multipoint solutions
• Familiarity with network architecture, including access, aggregation, and core layers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong customer focus, and a service-oriented mindset
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
• Good Knowledge of Huawei, Nokia and Cisco’s products (switch, router) is an advantage.
• Good Knowledge of SD-WAN is an advantage.
• Good communication skills, both verbal & written
• Expertise in Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
• Certification in Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Fortinet, or other network vendors is preferred
