Symphony Communication Public Company Limited or SYMC is a Telecommunication network and service provider in Thailand, providing high speed and reliable network for both domestic and international connectivity and value-added services to serve the fast-growing data demand in Thailand and ASEAN. Currently, the Company holds the Telecommunication Service License Type II and Type III, permitted by Office of The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (“NBTC”) to provide services for International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC) both terrestrial and submarine coverage and IP-Virtual Private Network (IP-VPN). In addition, the Company has also received the Internet Operation Type I and II to provide internet service and operate International Internet Gateway (IIG) and National Internet Exchange (NIX).

About this position

The Regulatory Affair Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with telecommunications regulations and managing relationships with government and private sectors.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in presenting problem-solving strategies for management consideration based on orders or regulations of government sector.
• Co-supervise and support the telecommunications services of the company to comply with the specified licensing regulations.
• Manage and support in case of disputes with government sector and private sector.
• Participate in assessing the situation and trends affecting the company and report to the management.
• Prepare reports according to the regulations of regulators as a licensed individual for TEL1, TEL2, TEL3 (If any)
• Draft responses related to the regulations of government sector or private sector and communicate with relevant departments within the company.
• Represent the company in meetings with government sector and private sector related to telecommunications.
• Provide advice to internal departments on regulations of government sector.
• Collaborate in presenting regulatory aspects to government sector or overseeing agencies.

Requirements

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in public law, telecommunications engineering or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in regulatory affairs and especially telecommunications industrial or related fields. (If any)
• Knowledge of legal regulations in the telecommunications industry. (If any)
• Ability to draft responses related to regulations with relevant organizations.
• Skills in communicating with government sector and private sector.
• Skills in strategic thinking in situations influenced by regulators.
• Eagerness to continuously learn and self-develop.
