About this position

The Ecommerce Director is responsible for developing and implementing the overall ecommerce strategy aligned with GQ’s business goals, overseeing sales and revenue growth, managing online marketing efforts, and leading the ecommerce team to ensure a competitive digital presence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall ecommerce strategy aligned with GQ’s business goals.
• Stay updated on the latest ecommerce trends, technologies, and best practices to identify new market opportunities and trends, enhance GQ’s online growth, and ensure GQ’s digital presence remains competitive.
• Oversee pricing strategies, promotional activities, and inventory management to maximize online sales and profitability.
• Work closely with the merchandising teams to ensure the right products are featured prominently online.
• Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and display advertising to drive traffic and sales.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotions, offers, and content strategies that engage and convert customers.
• Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and identify areas for optimization.
• Manage the ecommerce budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to achieve key business objectives.
• Work with Management to forecast revenue, set goals, and ensure alignment with broader business objectives and directions.
• Lead, motivate, and manage the ecommerce team.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven team culture.
• Establish clear and aligned directions, performance metrics and KPIs for the team and individual team members.
• Leverage analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and guide data-driven decision making.
• Ensure GQ’s website and digital platforms are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field (MBA is a plus). 8 years of experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of ecommerce platforms and website (Lazada, Shopee, Tiktok, Shopify, Line Shopping, etc.)
• Proven track record of driving online sales growth and optimizing ecommerce platforms.
• Strong knowledge of web analytics tools and A/B testing.
• Expertise in digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, etc.).
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent command of English.
