QA Specialist / Assistant QA Manager | Food Safety and Supplier Audit
About this position
This job contributes to Starbucks success by providing dedicated technical knowledge to ensure food safety and quality compliance throughout the product's supply chain in day-to-day operation as well as to seeking the initiative for quality improvement.
Responsibilities
• Maintaining and improving the food safety & quality standard at chain stores by conducting store audit using Brand's in-house standard checklist. (Up country travelling required). (30% coverage).
• Schedule and conduct an effective store audit.
• Calibrate the 3rd party auditor to get an alignment in the standard requirements.
• Create constructive feedback and influence for effectively improvement.
• Explore deeply to build initiatives for improvement.
• Manage an efficient sampling plan for food products to ensure its safety.
• Dealing with regulatory affair. (10% coverage).
• Regulatory review to ensure the conforming with local regulation.
• Proceed to get items registered with TH-FDA, TISI or other related agents.
• Keep monitoring and updating all related local regulations.
• Maintaining food safety & quality standard at local suppliers and warehouse & transportation by conducting quality audit at supplier. (40% coverage).
• Schedule and conduct an effective food safety audit scheme at either suppliers or logistic (warehouse & transportation).
• Schedule and conduct the transportation monitoring program on-site.
• Monitor and handle efficiently the quality issues at warehouse and transportation. Generate the sampling plan and conduct the sampling procedure for incoming /outgoing items at warehouse.
• Create constructive feedback and influence for effectively improvement.
• Handling product complaint and product quality defect. (20% coverage).
• Monitoring product complaint or product defect from chain stores or customers.
• Reach out to all related parties to ensure the complaints are communicated.
• Seek for the potential root cause with corrective & preventive action from related parties.
• Set up complaint's KPI to related parties and keep monitoring regularly. Analyze deeply to achieve the improvement.
Requirements
• Minimum 4 years work of experienced of food quality assurance or production either in the quick service restaurant (QSR) or food and beverage service industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology or equivalent field of science.
• Good command of English communication - speaking and writing.
• Concentrated in QSR, Food Retails or Food manufacturing.
• Having a Food safety knowledge & Quality mindset with HACCP certification.
• Capable to conduct the food safety system effectively.
• Capable to deal with ambiguity, flexibility, good judgement and result oriented. Capable to travel up-country.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve quality and efficiency.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
