About this position

The plant Accountant is responsible for managing documents and accounting information related to the operations of the plant, including recording and reviewing financial transactions such as payments, purchases of materials and equipment, and production costs. They must also prepare daily accounting reports to provide accurate and up-to-date information to management. In addition, they need to coordinate with various departments within the plant to ensure smooth and accurate accounting processes in compliance with established procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Prepare accounting documents: Prepare and record accounting documents related to the plant's operations, such as invoices, receipts, purchase orders, payment requests, petty cash summaries, and income and expense reports for the plant.
• Manage income and expense accounting: Record and verify incoming and outgoing payments related to the plant's operations, such as production costs, material costs, and the buying and selling of materials (sellable waste).
• Coordinate with various departments: Communicate and coordinate with different departments within the plant, such as production, purchasing, human resources, and other relevant departments, to ensure accurate and timely accounting information.
• Audit accounting records: Verify the accuracy of accounting information, such as calculating expenses, withholding tax, and recording transactions in the accounting system. Additionally, assist in inventory checks of the warehouse.
• Prepare accounting reports: Prepare daily accounting reports, balance summaries, and monthly financial reports for management review.
• Support internal audits: Prepare documents and data for internal audits or audits by external agencies.
• Other related tasks: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, such as general documentation tasks, secretarial work, or managing various accounting-related information.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting.
• Experience in factory accounting or the manufacturing industry will be considered a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Additional education or training in accounting or finance will be considered a plus.
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Basic knowledge of accounting systems, finance, and taxation.
• Able to accurately review and record accounting information.
• Capable of managing large volumes of documents and data effectively.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with various departments within the factory.
• Skilled in preparing reports and presenting information.
