Process Safety Engineer (Contract 1 Yrs.) (Renewable)
About this position
Responsibilities
• Contribute to prepare the deliverable list, schedule and budget of Technical Safety Engineering during bidding and project execution.
• Prepare RFQ of safety studies/workshops if required to be done by 3rd party vendor/consultant and to evaluate and conclude the selected vendor in technical point of view and other aspects as required.
• Co-ordinate/communicate with client and 3rd party safety vendor (if applicable) for project activities to achieve deliverables quality and its schedule.
• Prepare and review related safety deliverables including the deliverables by 3rd party safety vendor/consultant.
• Support lead disciplines and all project team members for all related safety engineering issues.
• Support Process Engineering Manager, Project Engineering Manager, Engineering Management and others as required in related safety engineering, project management as required.
• Support project bidding project activities and execution project activities.
• Support other tasks as required for improvement and development related to technical safety engineering and others as required.
Requirements
• Thai Nationality.
• Bachelor degree or Master degree in Engineering e.g. Chemical Engineering or Safety Engineering is preferable.
• Minimum 5 years experiences in technical safety engineering. Having experiences in Lead technical safety engineering in oil & gas projects (either offshore or onshore or both) is advantageous.
• Having knowledge/experiences and familiarization with HAZID/HAZOP/SIL classification study/workshop. Candidate with experiences in safety workshop facilitator will be advantageous.
• Having knowledge/experiences and familiarization with safety engineering reports e.g. Safety Concept/Philosophy, Hazardous area schedule/drawings and other technical safety studies e.g. FERA, QRA, EERA, RAM, Dropped object study, Bow-tie study, Safety Design Case, SCEPS, SIL verification, Thermal radiation and Gas dispersion study, Exhaust plume study (via PHAST and/or CFD) etc.
• Familiarization with related safety engineering software e.g. Flaresim, PHAST etc.
• Familiarization with international codes and standards related to process safety engineering.
