About this position

SRS Integration Company Limited is seeking a Junior Database Administrator (DBA) with experience in MS SQL Server to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining database systems, ensuring data integrity and security, and providing support during system implementations and production.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance of database systems, including resources, backups, alerts, and reporting systems.
• Maintain and monitor scheduled database jobs daily to ensure smooth operations.
• Install, test, and maintain new versions of the database management system (DBMS) and related data handling systems.
• Implement, maintain, and test backup/restoration and recovery processes to ensure data security and availability.
• Communicate regularly with technical and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.
• Collaborate with the software development team to provide DBA support and establish best practices.
• Compile and manage the latest source code changes, ensuring they are sent to the repository.
• Provide support during system implementation and production, including following Change Management processes for database configuration changes.
• Actively monitor work queues and ensure the timely completion of support requests.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience as a database administrator and/or developer in an SQL Server environment.
• Proficient in using monitoring and diagnostic tools, and knowledgeable in SQL database languages.
• Experience with Windows server administration and DBMS systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL language and database environments.
• Willingness to work overnight and on weekends during periods of low usage for maintenance and development tasks.
