The Sales Manager of rigid packaging is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building relationships with key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, overseeing sales contracts, and monitoring sales performance. The role also involves designing marketing campaigns, collaborating on product development, leading a team, and managing budgets.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including food processors and beverage companies.
• Identify new business opportunities, including market expansions and potential partnerships.
• Oversee the preparation and negotiation of sales contracts to ensure profitable terms.
• Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and prepare regular reports for management.
• Design and implement marketing campaigns to promote the company’s packaging solutions.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
• Manage the development of marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, and digital content.
• Enhance the company’s online presence and brand reputation in the food packaging industry.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure customer needs are met through innovative packaging solutions.
• Provide market feedback to guide the development of new products and features.
• Promote sustainable packaging options to align with industry trends and customer demands.
• Lead, coach, and mentor the sales and marketing team to achieve individual and team objectives.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training needs.
• Prepare and manage the sales and marketing budget effectively.
• Report on market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance to senior management.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the packaging or food industry.
• Proven track record of managing B2B sales and delivering revenue growth.
• Experience working with large food processors and developing tailored solutions.
• Strong knowledge of the food packaging industry, particularly PP injection technology.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute marketing strategies.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
