About this position

The Senior HSE Officer is responsible for monitoring and evaluating site safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and promoting a safety culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate site safety.
• Perform work area inspections and assist in personal injury investigations.
• Documentation and implementation of required or desired changes in the safety program.
• Develop job-specific safety plans, schedule site visits, and conduct safety audits.
• Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee practices through site visits, safety plans, and education of all supervisory personnel.
• Ensure all staff are provided with the necessary PPEs and training appropriate for job position and tasks assigned.
• Ensure compliance with legal and environmental issues, and involvement in emergency and disaster response and planning.
• Responsible for assigned tasks by SSHE and/or Site Leader.
• Provide guidance on Safety Health and Environment Legislation and any training requirement to Project team.
• To analyze work plans and projects, and as well as recommendations of every working unit and to give advice on safety measures to the team.
• Monitor and implement HSSE methodology to align with the company standard for the project team to maintain sustainable improvement and achieve KPIs requirements.
• Investigate cause of incident, Occupational diseases, and report to Management for prevention.
• Demonstrated a proven track record in managing maintenance service providers.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, and safety rules, guidelines, and regulations.
• Enforce QHSSE policies, promoting a safety culture at all work sites.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among the client, the site team, and the head office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Certified with Safety Professional Level.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in managing SSHE/Safety experience in an operation environment.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in terminal facilities, would be advantageous.
