About this position

The Safety Officer/SSHE Officer is responsible for monitoring and evaluating site safety, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate site safety.
• Conduct work area inspections and assisting in personal injury investigations.
• Documentation and implementation of required or desired changes in the safety program.
• Propose job specific safety plans, scheduling jobsite visits and safety audits.
• Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee practices through site visits, safety plans, and education of all supervisory personnel.
• Ensure all staff are provided with necessary PPEs and trainings appropriate for job position and tasks assigned.
• Ensure compliance with legal and environment issues, involvement in emergency and disaster response and planning.
• Responsible for assigned tasks by SSHE and/or Site Leader.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related filed.
• Certified with Safety Professional Level.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in managing SSHE/Safety experience in an operation environment.
• Proven a track record in managing maintenance service providers.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, especially in Terminal facilities would be advantageous.
