Lead Project Engineer (Maintenance Services)
About this position
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all terminal equipment and systems including stock management. Ensure timely and effective execution of maintenance tasks.
• Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment, conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair histories. Generate reports for management review.
• Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless maintenance operations including timeliness, HSSE, Quality and performance. Provide technical support and training to maintenance staff.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Supervise operation team and perform various maintenance activities if required including upgrades, installations, and modifications of equipment and systems.
• Verify timesheets and overtime (OT) for the team, ensuring accuracy and preparing approval proposals.
• Monitor and regulate the budget, tracking maintenance expenditures and invoices.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably within Oil & Gas industry or similar industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including pumps, compressors, storage tanks, and piping.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, industry standards, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and diagnostic tools.
• Familiar with budgeting, cost estimation, and financial analysis for engineering projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong ability to coordinate and oversee multiple teams and contractors to achieve project goals.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to maintenance activities.
• The role involves both office work and hands-on maintenance activities in an industrial setting.
• This position requires the ability to travel.
