Senior Business Development Manager (Solar Energy)
About this position
The Senior Business Development Manager (Solar Energy) is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies for Solar PV and integrated energy solutions, while actively prospecting for customers and ensuring strong customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute go-to-market plan for Solar PV and integrated energy solutions
• Active prospecting for customers through networking, visits and sales presentations
• Able to leverage and expand on own contacts and networks to meet business (project) targets
• Support all customer-related activities and marketing to establish strong customer satisfaction
• Gather marketing intelligence and update the management on current market competitiveness.
• Liaise with respective internal departments to support and coordinate evaluation of project opportunities
• Support bid proposals and tender works
• Assist the Business Development Lead in preparing internal reporting, investment approval papers and business plans
• Ensure proper pricing of green energy proposals to key customers with aim of delivering the financial outcome in line with strategic objectives of the group
• Lead on Contract negotiation on the key commercial term and risk mitigation to ensure the best outcome
• Able to independently manage stakeholders and manage projects (individual contributor)
• Any other duties to be assigned as and when required for other business
Requirements
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business or engineering Degree
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in business development and industrial sales
• Experience in renewable energy business development and/or direct engagement with commercial & industrial clients is highly preferred
• Knowledge of sustainability and energy management solutioning is an added advantage
• Strong competence in working efficiently in a complex multi-faceted setting
• Bilingual in Thai and English to liaise with local and foreign counterparties. Proficiency in Chinese is a plus for liaising with Chinese counterparties
• Highly analytical with quick turnaround of information and analysis
• Able to interact across divisions and sections
• Good written and spoken communications skills
• Good teamwork ethics
