Regional Technical & BD Manager (F/M/X)
About this position
Solvay is seeking a Regional Technical & Business Development Manager to support the Bicar® and SOLVAir® businesses in APAC, focusing on technical marketing and business development while ensuring sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
• Technical Marketing, Bicar®
• Manage technical agreements with customers, negotiate specifications, answer technical related questions & regulatory affairs on documentation, not limited to key accounts and ensure that the customers are well taken into account by Solvay quality and services. Manage customer demands and audits
• Additionally provide technical support to Asian customers of the industrial site in Thailand and in coordination with the European support team of European industrial sites of Solvay exported to Asia Pacific especially related to the Pharma & Food applications.
• Claim resolution for complex issues and support the sites in defining corrective actions
• Support to the sales team in development and on-going maintenance of accounts and be the overall technical contact for APAC on Bicar® in APAC
• Business Development, SOLVAir
• To be technical reference for SOLVAir® in ROA (exclude China) and manage technical knowledge at a central level in order to feed commercial team with up-to-date and relevant technical elements
• Work with EU team and China team to assure the latest information is transmitted to the market as appropriate
• Organize tests at customer sites to convince them to use SOLVAir® or for R&D purposes
• Monitor and study impacts of upcoming or proposed environmental regulations
• Continuous evaluation of customer’s system performance by sampling and analysis of usage to determine efficiencies
• Answer technical questions including design recommendations and process improvement requests related to SOLVAir
• Keep abreast of competitive technologies and competitor actions in the air pollution control industry
• Protect Solvay IP
• Support business with relevant technical studies and presentations.
Requirements
• Strong technical background in chemistry or related fields
• Experience in technical marketing and business development
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and air pollution control technologies
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel as needed.
