About this position

Solvay is focused on chemistry and the collaboration of diverse minds to improve lives while preserving the planet. The Production Engineer role involves supporting plant operations and contributing to optimization and performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all process engineering activities comply with HSE policies and regulations.
• Propose the most optimal production conditions, taking into account cost and quality.
• Assist the manager at critical moments in order to realize the production plans, and ensure troubleshooting when necessary.
• Supervise maintenance assignments requiring specific study and analysis.
• Resolve specific problems occurring during maintenance work.
• Follow up production performance and propose initiatives to improve competitiveness.
• Act as a liaison regarding technological matters towards other departments, suppliers and customers.
• Support and advise staff in the resolution of complex problems.
• Inform colleagues about and/or train them in new methods, procedures and techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 Years’ experience on production monitoring and improvement.
