About this position

Responsible for ensuring assigned vessel are in operational ready by providing comprehensive maintenance from both technical and nautical aspects.

Responsibilities

• Establish a periodic maintenance schedule and repairs for vessels under their responsibility at Fleet and also set for docking schedules.
• Coordinate ship maintenance / repair work based on daily / monthly / annual work plans.
• Organize, evaluate and carry out technical analysis regarding the condition of the ship along with the components in it to identify the necessary care and recommend the right solution if there’s any problems occurs.
• Control and evaluate equipment damage occurs, optimize response and provide accurate problem solving references.
• Control and evaluate the status of ship equipment, quality of documents/report and made in maintenance log books.
• Planning and evaluating the implementation of the work of vessel crew, identifying and recommending skills based competencies if required.
• Evaluate for vessel crew in engine room area.
• Implement the SOP that is in its work area and periodically make improvements to the work process.

Requirements

• Candidate must Certified as Ahli Teknika Tingkat 1 (ATT-1).
• Have sailing experience as Chief Engineer capacity in Oil/Chemical/Gas Tanker at least 3 contract, preferably candidates with shore experience as Technical Superintendent for at least 1 year.
• Vast knowledge in maritime industries.
• Familiar with vessel operation and docking process.
• Possess good analytical thinking, proactive, good leadership and able to work Collaboratively.
• Willing to travel frequently.
