About this position

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, compliance, treasury management, taxation, and operations within the Thailand entities, ensuring accuracy and reliability in accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Month-end and Year-end Closing & Group Reporting: Preparation of closing for Thailand entities (operating and holding).
• Statutory Compliance: Preparation of FS for Thailand entities & coordination with auditors for yearly statutory audit and annual stock take.
• Accounting: Ensuring complete accuracy/reliability in accounting including consistency in accounting practices/ process to Group/local statutory accounting rules. Assist in internal audit and implementation of corrective actions.
• Ensuring fund availability based on forecast.
• Coordination with bankers for bank guarantees and other relevant matters.
• Responsible for Tax compliance for Thailand.
• Reporting of statutory compliances per entity [Income tax, withholding tax, /VAT, annual filing / audit].
• Coordination with Tax agents in Thailand to ensure required data is provided to tax agents/ consultants and timely compliance done.
• Coordinate with Tax consultants for managing the tax litigation and take required action with Finance Manager on litigation.
• Ensure compliance of Transfer pricing and yearly documentation with tax consultant and HQ team.
• Working closely with operations (Sales administration, business manager, Asia management team and other relevant stakeholders).
• Responsible to follow, build, improve and manage streamlined financial systems in Thailand.
• Manage and review inter-company reconciliation and confirmation.
• Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedure.
• Assist to provide relevant information in the budgeting, financial forecasting and cash flow management.
• Assist, actively participate and contribute to project and system implementations.
• Perform any finance-related ad hoc tasks required by management pertaining to Thailand business.
• Cover Finance Manager on daily operations when on leave, away or incapacitated.

Requirements

• Strong command of English.
• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a similar capacity.
• Prior experience in MNC environment will be highly advantageous.
• Prior experience in full set account.
• SAP B1 experience is preferred but not mandatory.
