The Accounting Manager - Financial Reporting and Consolidation is responsible for overseeing financial management, reporting, and consolidation processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, while leading a team and driving process improvements.
• Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, TFRS) and company policies.
• Oversee the preparation of management reports, including variance analysis, cash flow forecasts, and key financial metrics, to facilitate data-driven decision-making at the executive level.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in all financial reports and maintain high-quality standards in documentation.
• Manage the consolidation process for multiple subsidiaries and business units, ensuring accurate integration and elimination of intercompany transactions.
• Review and approve consolidated financial statements, ensuring they align with legal and regulatory requirements as well as company objectives.
• Oversee the preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliations, with particular focus on multi-entity consolidations and foreign currency translation.
• Establish and monitor robust internal controls to maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors, facilitating the provision of accurate data and supporting documentation for audit processes.
• Conduct regular reviews of accounting practices and policies, updating them as necessary to reflect changes in regulatory standards or business needs.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, coordinating with other departments to gather financial data, assess financial performance, and highlight significant trends.
• Provide comprehensive budget variance analyses, identifying areas of concern and recommending corrective actions to enhance financial outcomes.
• Deliver strategic insights on financial performance to senior management, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team, with a focus on enhancing their technical skills, analytical abilities, and understanding of the consolidation process.
• Set goals and performance standards for team members, conducting regular reviews and providing constructive feedback.
• Promote a collaborative team environment, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Lead or support special projects, such as system upgrades, process automation, and implementation of best practices, to increase efficiency in financial reporting and consolidation.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses for strategic initiatives, providing actionable insights and recommendations to drive business value.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and industry trends, implementing new policies as required to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification is required.
• Minimum of 5–7 years in accounting/a
