Cyber Security Engineer
About this position
As a Cybersecurity Engineer at Sirisoft, you will work closely with the Cybersecurity Team Leader and senior engineers to assist in the design, implementation, and management of security solutions for our clients. You will help maintain the organization's cybersecurity posture and contribute to safeguarding sensitive data by supporting the delivery of security projects, monitoring systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, particularly within the financial sector.
Responsibilities
• Technical Support: Assist in the implementation and configuration of security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, encryption solutions, and Identity access management. Provide hands-on support in diagnosing and resolving security issues to ensure systems function smoothly.
• Security Monitoring: Monitor network and system activities to detect potential security threats using various monitoring tools (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM). Help analyze logs and alerts to identify vulnerabilities or incidents.
• Compliance Assistance: Support the implementation of regulatory and compliance requirements, such as PCI-DSS and SOX, ensuring all security systems adhere to the necessary standards for the financial industry.
• Incident Response Support: Assist in responding to security incidents, supporting senior team members in investigating and resolving issues quickly and efficiently to minimize impact.
• Project Assistance: Contribute to the delivery of security projects by assisting in technical design, implementation, and testing phases. Help ensure projects are delivered on time and meet client requirements.
• Documentation: Aid in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, security protocols, and monitoring processes.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Cybersecurity Team Leader and other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently. Learn from and support team members on security best practices and technical solutions.
• Client Interaction: Assist the team in interacting with clients, helping to understand their security needs and providing necessary technical support. Participate in meetings as a junior resource during the presales process or project delivery.
• Skill Development: Continuously improve technical skills through mentoring, training, and hands-on experience. Stay updated with emerging security threats, technologies, and industry trends.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field. Certifications like ISC2 CC, CompTIA Security+, CCNA or similar are a plus.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a system integrator environment. Hands-on experience with Cybersecurity product, EDR/XDR, Network Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), IDS/IPS, IAM, PAM or SIEM is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Encryption) and common security tools (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, Proxy, Load Balancer).
