Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Design for Machine Modification)
About this position
We are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of carton packaging and associated equipment suppliers, seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to focus on mechanical tasks to achieve zero breakdowns in the plant.
Responsibilities
• Purposes of preventive, predictive, proactively and self-Maintenance or TPM. This role will be responsible to focusing all mechanical tasks to achieve the zero breakdowns in the plant.
• Improves the machine breakdown rate and 360 degrees to achieve the target.
• Identifies specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of the proposed work.
• Communicates with production planner and area owner directly on detail of task to ensure all tasks to achieve shorter lead time.
• Participates in planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, coordination, risk management, execution and continuous improvement.
• Supports PLANT in making the PM master plan, PM activity and TPM activity.
• Prioritizes the work order for completion all work order, then feedback to production, Chief Maintenance and Planner Maintenance.
• Organizes and facilitate evaluation sessions with the production managers and provide all required data to give insight in progress of TPM implementation.
• Documents for ISO & HACCP, GMP, BRC.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.
• At least 3 years in mechanical maintenance fields.
• Experienced in TPM.
• Business skills for managing budgets, leading a team and liaising with suppliers.
• Capable to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures.
• Ability to lead and motivate others.
• Work as a team for all levels.
• Ability to negotiate and persuade others.
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication.
• Confident to respond positively when under pressure.
• Material specifications (Metal, Rubber, Insulation).
• 3D drawing reading and writing by hand and programming (Auto CAD, Solid work).
• Preventive maintenance and deterioration knowledge of bearing, transmission.
• Trouble shooting and root cause analysis.
• Pneumatic system.
• Maintenance machinery as Lathe, Milling, Welding, Drilling, Grinding.
• Machine improvement design process with Safety and Food Safety considerations.
