Field Service Engineer
About this position
To ensure efficient and effective operation of our solution by monitoring machine performance, providing technical support for corrective maintenance remotely or on-site support for technicians, performing routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for process improvement.
Responsibilities
• Provide the 2nd level technical support to 1st level technician team per defined role and responsibilities.
• Respond to requests or escalations from technician team.
• Perform operation monitoring and follow up issues or activities.
• Analyze and investigate root cause for solving issue and improvement.
• Provide feedback and contribute to improvement initiatives.
• Maintain service level agreement or required KPI.
• Manage spare part usage and control for corrective maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance to maintain machine’s condition.
• Coordinate service activities with technician team and other teams.
• Test and upgrade new releases of solution.
• Perform machine installation and commissioning as requested.
• Install, configure, optimize & maintain systems, applications, and solutions.
• Maintain accurate and updated documentation.
• Identify situations requiring urgent attention and escalate as appropriate.
• Able to work outside business hours and availability for on-call support depending on business requirements.
• Able to work as Shift depending on business requirements.
Requirements
• Electrical Engineering degree and technical competence in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of training, and/or experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in operation, service, maintenance, and problem troubleshooting in a factory environment.
• Have good knowledge relating to automation system and inspection system.
• Fluent in English, good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to diagnose and analyze mechanical, electrical, technical issues using provided data from operation team.
• Experience with Microsoft office tools for document creation, reporting and presentation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and demonstrated abilities to diagnose and analyze technical issues.
• Ability to work in teams, to work under pressure, have customer-oriented attitude.
Knowledge in one or more of the following fields a plus:
• Knowledge of basic PLC setup and programming.
• Knowledge quality inspection system using vision or camera.
• Knowledge of industrial inkjet printer, hydraulic and P&ID.
