Marine Fleet Manager.
About this position
The Marine Fleet Manager is responsible for co-developing business plans, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing vessel operations, and overseeing fleet movements to ensure safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
• Co-Develop business plan with CEO./MD. and the implementation plan to the vessels teams in order to ensure the achievement of the assigned target.
• Estimate and manage budgets according to the operations plan in order to adequately support the functional operations as well as control the operation expense within budgets.
• Ensure vessels in fleet compliance with Thai and international rules and regulations, codes and guidelines concerning safety maintenance conditions of the ship.
• Define vessel capacity and requirements, optimize vessel planning and define operation plan in order to effectively maximize resources and function effectively.
• Monitor the movements of fleet vessels at sea and in ports to give advise in related to cargo operation, navigation, safety, pollution prevention and security.
• Verify and approve the invoices concerning agents & ports charges, master cash statement, vessels’ supply, shore contractors for Navigation/Radio/Safety items according to company system/ approval list, include providing the supports and advise on this matter to the staffs.
• Monitor ship’s certificates and other reports to support in commercial concerns and compliance with Standard Ship Vetting Program of SIRE/CDI/THAI REC and other major oil vetting, Q88 and Form C.
• Co-develop and support for training program related to Safety Management System and TMSA.
• Perform as assignment of Emergency Response Team.
• Perform as assignment of Marine legal & Insurance claim.
• Verify and approve for Chartering activities.
• Perform other related duties of a similar type and at a similar level.
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in Marine Engineering field or related fields.
• At least 2 years of working experiences in Master Mariner and holding a Master Mariner certificate and/or Marine Superintendent/Port Captain.
• Good command of English.
• Readiness to travel aboard or upcountry.
• Specific Knowledge & Skills: Navigation, ship handing, cargo care and operation, ISM codes, ISPS codes, Major Oil Vetting, pollution prevention, Class survey and P&I survey, PSC inspection, etc.
