About this position

The Assistant Managing Director, Production and Factory Management is responsible for overseeing factory operations, ensuring quality control, leading the team, strategic planning, budget management, safety compliance, inventory management, and effective communication within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day factory operations to ensure efficient and effective production.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications.
• Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
• Address and resolve any quality issues that arise.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the factory team to achieve high performance.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching.
• Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Assist in the development and execution of the company's strategic goals and objectives.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Plan and manage factory expansions, upgrades, and new product introductions.
• Develop and manage the factory's budget, including production costs, labor, and materials.
• Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure financial targets are met and report on financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and finished products.
• Coordinate with the supply chain team to manage procurement and logistics.
• Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and reduce costs.
• Communicate effectively with the Managing Director, other departments, and external stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates on factory performance and any issues that arise.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and achieve company goals.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or master’s degree in related filed with engineering background.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience Production Management in Manufacturing.
• Good conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
• Initiative and proactive in identifying key risk issues.
• Having ability to manage multiple projects effectively and independently.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Thai.
• Familiar with westerner company experience background is preferable.
