Data Scientist Manager
About this position
The Data Scientist Manager will lead and expand the IT team, develop data strategies, oversee data management, spearhead AI and machine learning initiatives, and ensure effective project management and communication within the organization.
Responsibilities
• Lead and expand the IT team which includes Developers, BI Developers, and Data Analysts.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive data and IT strategy that aligns with the company’s overall objectives.
• Collaborate with executives and stakeholders across different business units to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Oversee the design and maintenance of the centralized data system to ensure stability, scalability, and security.
• Manage the collection, validation, and analysis of data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Translate complex data findings into clear insights and actionable strategies.
• Spearhead the development and deployment of AI and machine learning models to address specific business challenges.
• Stay updated with current AI trends and technologies and assess their viability for adoption within the company.
• Provide technical leadership in integrating AI solutions across various business units to improve efficiencies and outcomes.
• Lead and manage the IT team responsible for software development, business intelligence, and data analysis.
• Ensure the development of robust IT solutions that support data-driven initiatives and business operations.
• Promote a collaborative environment among developers, BI developers, data analysts, and data scientists to foster innovation and efficiency.
• Plan and execute data and IT-related projects from conception to implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Foster collaboration between IT and data professionals, along with business unit leaders, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
• Regularly present updates to senior management about the status, progress, and results of data and IT initiatives.
• Create a culture of data-driven decision making by promoting data literacy among employees and stakeholders.
Requirements
• Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a data science role with a focus on data cleansing, predictive modeling, and optimization projects.
• Proven experience in a managerial role within a data science and IT environment.
• Extensive experience with database management, data processing, data analytics, and IT development.
• Strong background in AI and machine learning, including hands-on experience with model development and deployment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing diverse teams and collaborating with various business units.
• Fluent in English and Thai.
• Open-minded.
