Siam Food Services Limited (SFS) is a firmly established player in the Thai food distribution business having been around since 1984. We specialize in the distribution of temperature-controlled and value-added international brands of high quality meat, seafood, poultry, potato, dairy, pastry and ethnic food products. As Thailand’s leading importer and distributor of premium food products, our objective is to satisfy the requirements of all our customers which includes all major full service hotels and restaurants, all major quick service restaurants and restaurant chains, institutions, caterers, manufacturers, traders and modern trade accounts. Our products are distributed out from our central distribution warehouse located in the capital, Bangkok as well as from our branches in Pattaya, Koh Samui and Phuket to ensure timely and quality deliveries.

About this position

The Production Manager oversees all aspects of food production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to food safety regulations. This role involves managing staff, scheduling production, and monitoring inventory levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand.
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate production planning.
• Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Continuously identify and implement opportunities to improve production efficiency and productivity and optimize Yield percentage.
• Analyze production processes and identify bottlenecks and Leverage technology and automation to streamline operations.
• Closely work with Quality Assurance team to enforce strict food safety and quality control standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of production areas to identify and address potential issues. Ensure compliance with all required regulations.
• Stay up to date on food safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Train, and supervise production staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve performance.
• Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
• Place orders for supplies and ingredients as needed.
• Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and optimize costs.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce production costs. Monitor all relevant costs to ensure profitability.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment by corporate with Facility management and machine technician vendor.
• Schedule regular maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in food production management.
• Strong understanding of food safety and quality control standards.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Good collaboration and communication both internal and external relevant parties.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of food cost control and inventory management.
