Supply Planning Officer
About this position
Responsible for Demand and Supply planning of Finished Goods, control inventory level as policy, and control purchasing cost.
Responsibilities
• Collect and summarize sales forecasts from the Sales Team.
• Update relevant parties, including the factory, on sales forecasts.
• Analyze production replies to assess stock availability and update stock status accordingly.
• Prepare data for meetings with suppliers.
• Issue purchase orders to both local and international suppliers.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery according to schedule.
• Conduct price comparisons per policy to ensure competitive pricing.
• Maintain, update, and review supplier information in the system.
• Regularly review and adjust stock standards in line with company policies.
• Ensure stock standards are set and modified as needed to support demand and supply fluctuations.
• Monitor stock levels on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure adequate supply.
• Adjust delivery dates on POs to align with stock requirements and sales forecasts.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers to meet demand.
• Develop solutions for managing slow-moving stock to avoid obsolescence.
• Create quota stock and allocate stock as per the demand and supply needs.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of working experience and knowledge in Sales Planning, Supply Planning, and supply chain management would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and data analysis tools.
• Computer literacy in MS Office (Excellent in Excel, Words, PowerPoint).
• Strong negotiation skills and good coordinator and able to work well under pressure.
• Good command of both written and spoken English.
• Responsible service-minded, and detail-oriented.
• Good follow-up and negotiation skills and problem-solving initiative.
