About this position

As a Senior Learning Development Manager, you're responsible for managing the Digital Technology Academy team to foster a forward-thinking tech culture and drive employee development within SCB’s Technology Function. This includes designing skills capability uplift programs, creating learning frameworks, and building engagement strategies. You'll also create metrics to measure program success, and mentor team members to support their growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Digital Technology Academy team to build and maintain a new tech culture within the organization
• Design skills capability uplift programs, including technical training courses, to enhance employee skills in line with tech trends (e.g., Low-Code, AI)
• Develop learning frameworks and strategies to address people development needs for the Technology Function, aligning with IT priorities (e.g., onboarding, training, and staff engagement programs)
• Lead the development and execution of competency frameworks for all roles within the IT Function.
• Create metrics to assess the effectiveness of learning and development programs
• Build and maintain employee engagement strategies while fostering a knowledge-sharing culture within the IT Function (e.g., technical knowledge sharing sessions, hackathons, events, university engagements, and skills uplift plans for employees across IT and other functions)
• Collaborate with HR and other stakeholders on activities related to learning and people development programs or initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 5–10 years of work experience in technical roles with diverse expertise
• Skilled as a technical trainer, with networking experience, and the ability to play a leading role in advancing the capabilities of SCB technology employees
• Proven ability to mentor, coach, and lead teams effectively
• Strong mentorship and leadership skills are highly preferred
