About this position

You're responsible for monitoring dynamic macroeconomic trends and financial market environments in global and regional economies, with a particular focus on ASEAN, China, and geopolitical developments. Your role includes delivering insightful economic research and business intelligence to guide banking and business strategies. You will collaborate closely with the Chief Economist and Head Economist at the Economic Intelligence Center (EIC).

Responsibilities

• Conduct macroeconomic and financial analyses, including macro-financial linkages and demand-supply dynamics, utilizing databases such as Bloomberg or CEIC
• Produce insightful and thought-provoking analyses in both Thai and English for diverse stakeholders
• Build and maintain networks with internal and external stakeholders, serving as a key resource person

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 3–5 years of research or relevant work experience (fresh graduates will also be considered)
• Proficiency in Python, EViews (or STATA), and AI applications is highly advantageous
• Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills in both Thai and English
• Strong initiative and ownership of tasks, with a proactive response to addressing issues related to dynamic macroeconomics, financial markets, and global trends
