Professional Safety Officer
About this position
The Professional Safety Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety systems and processes to ensure compliance with company policy and Thai Safety Law.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety systems and processes to comply with company policy, Thai Safety Law, and regulations, as well as developing and implementing the OH&S master plan.
• Investigate and analyze accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Stay up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all health and safety regulations, including any developments that may affect the company.
• Provide safety training to employees and contractors on health and safety risks in the workplace, covering key OH&S topics such as emergency response and managing disease outbreaks.
• Engage with employees across all functions and levels to promote OH&S initiatives and strengthen safety culture.
• Perform safety tasks and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety
• 3 years working experience in OH&S practice and system in quarry or heavy manufacturer
• Background in implementation of OHSAS8001 or TIS18001 and exposure to application of risk management practice within business
• Knowledge of Law and regulation on OH&S issues
• Knowledge of OH&S management
• Knowledge of internal audit in OH&S (HGRS)
• Able to work 6 days/ week (Mon to Sat) in quarry environment.
