Occupational Health & Safety Supervisor
About this position
Responsibilities
• Responsible for developing and implementing a safety system and processes that comply with company policy, Thai safety laws and regulations, and the OH&S master plan for the responsible area.
• Investigates accidents, analyzes findings, prepares reports, and recommends corrective and preventive actions. Provides emergency response or disease outbreak management for OH&S issues as needed.
• Keeps up to date on all health and safety legislation, including new laws and any developments that could impact the company.
• Trains employees and contractors on workplace health and safety risks and issues, including drivers, transporters, and customers, on safe work procedures as outlined in the OH&S plan.
• Conducts and reviews risk assessments of the workplace and work procedures/instructions to ensure their effectiveness, including audits for OH&S contractors and transporters (TSM&CSM), serving as the lead auditor in accordance with the OH&S master plan.
• Drives OH&S initiatives and fosters a safety culture by engaging with employees at all levels and functions.
• Performs safety tasks and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree of Occupational Health and Safety and/or bachelor’s degree of any fields with a professional safety officer certificate.
• Minimum 5 years work experience in OH&S practice and system required.
• Background in implementation of ISO 45001 and exposure to application of risk management practice within business.
• Acknowledge with related work scope on:
• laws and regulations concerned with OH&S
• hazards identification, risk assessment and control methodology
• OHS management system auditing methodology
• OHS training and promotional program
• accident investigation
• Strong in communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in Coaching, Planning and organizing and management skills.
• Own valid driving license.
