About this position

The Merchant Acquisition position at ShopeePay involves acquiring new merchants, exploring business opportunities, and establishing partnerships to enhance payment coverage.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new merchants to expand ShopeePay’s top-up and payment coverage
• Study new business opportunities and take actions
• Establish and maintain firm partnership relations
• Strategically plan timeline and coordinate with internal and external parties to launch new services
• Strategic planning
• Research and understand new business concept to enhance overall service offerings
• Brainstorm and validate new business concept to develop a valid conclusion/proposal for the management
• Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance
• Assess the financial viability of each project
• Customer development
• Identify business opportunities, create solutions and fact-based value proposals, negotiate and close deals
• Approach business partners to pitch ideas, collaborate, and follow through to establish partnership
• Maintain close relationships with existing partners
• Coordination
• Introduce new business concepts and initiatives to internal parties, business partners, and regulators
• Coordinate with different teams including legal, marketing, finance, and tech to launch new services
• Monitor and push for correct and timely implementation of projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration or related fields
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Planning and Development is preferable
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation abilities
