About this position
Responsibilities
• Analyze financial data (generally using SQL to obtain dataset and Excel to analyze) across business entities within Shopee Thailand
• Lead projection and P&L planning exercise at daily, monthly and yearly level - including both initiating forward outlook and formulating recommendations to hit target
• Apply structured framework to estimate hard-to-find information and deliver original insights
• Improve existing estimation and forecast solutions by scrutinizing current assumptions, identifying how our understanding would change if assumptions changed, and quantifying these uncertainty (i.e. sensitivity analysis)
• Translate complex data analysis into accessible business-focused reports and recommendations and present to stakeholders
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in quantitative fields (Engineering, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Finance or related fields is preferred)
• 3-5 years of work experience in e-commerce, consulting, financial services or similar roles in other fast-growing industries
• Knowledge of SQL/Python/Excel is preferred but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
