About this position
Position involves developing new products to meet the needs of requesting organizations and customers, as well as conducting market research and cost analysis. The role also includes creating product specifications and collaborating with various departments within the company.
Responsibilities
• Develop new products to meet the needs of requesting organizations and customers
• Source and conduct tests on alternative raw materials to increase purchasing options/reduce costs
• Analyze current product issues related to raw materials, formulas, and production processes, and plan/control/improve products
• Prepare specifications for raw materials, processes, and products
• Calculate the cost of new products (raw material portion) using data from laboratory experiments and trial runs for marketing or sales consideration
• Conduct market surveys to gather data for product development
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Product Development
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, and E-mail
• 1-3 years of experience in R&D in the beverage or dairy industry preferred
• Detail-oriented and good interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate in English (speaking/reading/writing)
