About this position

As a Lead Legal Counsellor, you will play a key role in providing legal support across the organization, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, drafting and negotiating contracts, and offering timely legal advice to the team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, draft, and negotiate various agreements, including NDAs, service agreements, data protection agreements, software licenses, and re-seller agreements.
• Review and finalize contracts in both English and Thai to ensure compliance with laws and company standards.
• Provide accurate legal counsel to internal stakeholders on corporate law, labor law, tax regulations, and other legal matters.
• Lead and mentor a small team of legal professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support in their daily tasks.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee internal policies to ensure alignment with current legal standards and support their implementation.
• Monitor and communicate changes in laws and regulations to relevant teams to maintain compliance.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support business operations and decision-making.
• Maintain accurate and organized legal records and databases to ensure efficient document management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external legal advisors, regulatory bodies, and public authorities when necessary.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional legal experience in corporate law, law firm or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Law.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, labor law, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Thai.
• Ability to work independently while providing mentorship to legal professionals, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with data protection and privacy laws is desirable.
• Exposure to intellectual property and foreign business law is advantageous.
