About this position

Our teams play a pivotal role in driving Seagate’s global operations, ensuring the seamless sourcing, procurement, and management of indirect materials and packaging solutions. We manage commodities such as freight, logistics, packaging, consumables, and production supplies while collaborating across global factories, design centers, and customer service operations.

Responsibilities

• Developing sourcing strategies for indirect materials like freight, logistics, and packaging.
• Negotiating contracts and managing supplier performance.
• Driving cost-saving initiatives and market research for strategic decision-making.
• Managing procurement processes, including supplier evaluation, competitive bidding, and purchase order placement.
• Optimizing inventory levels and implementing cost-effective procurement practices.
• Maintaining compliance with company policies and managing procurement budgets.
• Designing and testing packaging solutions for HDDs, SSDs, and components.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve cost-effective, sustainable packaging.
• Managing packaging data, BOMs, and documentation in systems like SAP and SolidWorks.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
• A proactive team player with a positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficient in English (TOEIC 500+ required, 600+ preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and data analytics tools like Power BI, Python, or Excel (Knime, SolidWorks, Six Sigma is a plus).
• Capable of working independently and in cross-functional, global teams.
