About this position

Many positions are now available for Engineers and Senior Engineers at the Korat Plant, welcoming new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Drive Functional Engineer - Perform data analysis, mechanical and electrical failure analysis (MFA, EFA) by using Seagate’s HDD tools, Matlab and computer programing (C and Python) to find the root cause, understand the problems and/or new design such as changes in mechanical and electrical component
• Drive Product Engineer - Perform failure analysis to find the root cause of design/manufacturing problem and initiate new technical engineering ideas for a solution and improve yield & quality
• Computer Engineer - Programming - Conceives and develops solutions to engineering programs (Knowledge of computer programming (C, C#, C++, Python or other languages)
• Software Controls Engineer - Automation - Design and development machine from manual to fully automation
• Data Scientist - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement AI/ML techniques that drive improvements in product yield, quality, and cost-efficiency in factory operations (Proficient in Python for model development, with hands-on experience in libraries (e.g., Pandas or Polar, Scikit-learn or PyCaret) and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow)
• Equipment Development Engineering - Develop measurement tool/machine
• Material Science Lab - Laboratory provides service support analytical techniques and scientific analysis for material, process, and products on cleanliness, contamination, and failure analysis
• Failure Analysis Engineer - Evaluates, from a reliability standpoint, the materials, properties and techniques used in production
• Quality Engineer - responsible for out-going product Quality
• Process Engineer - Performs technical support activities related to manufacturing
• Process Development Engineer - Develop HGA & Slider process to meet new product design requirements and build up intensive knowledge of the process
• Test Engineering - Script programming experience
• Test Development Engineering - In-depth understanding on new coming technology and new tests (HAMR, Slider DET/CoMET, Drive base test and etc.)
• Industrial Engineer - Responsible for support manufacturing operation including time/motion study, production line layout, standard hours, standard usage, Tools/equipment planning, assembly line balancing and machine utilization
• Slider & HGA, & Drive Cleanroom Process Engineering - Monitor process performance, solve problems, Develop and enhance processes for quality and cost improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Control Engineer, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Instrument, Material Science, Physics, Applied Physics, Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Mechatronic Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Telecommunications Engineer, Industrial Engineering or related filed
• Good command of English and Computer Literacy
• Computer programing (C, Python or other languages), Matlab, SolidWorks
• Have experience in electronics manufacturing, preferably in Disc Drive industry
• Able to work onsite at Seagate Korat Plant (Nakhon Ratchasima)
