Anti Money Laundering Specialist - Insurance
About this position
The Anti Money Laundering Specialist - Insurance is responsible for ensuring compliance with AML regulations and conducting due diligence, transaction monitoring, and ongoing evaluation of AML procedures within the organization.
Responsibilities
• Conduct daily customer due diligence of new customers and claimant based on the laws and regulations concerning Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorist Financing and Weapon Mass Destruction, and enhanced due diligence if needed.
• Conduct transaction monitoring analysis and prepare suspicious transaction reports to regulators.
• Maintain Company’s blacklist and politically exposed person list updated.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the AML procedures across business units, identifying potential areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive AML compliance across all business functions, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
• Stay updated on evolving AML regulations, guidelines, and industry trends, and proactively integrate relevant changes into existing AML procedures.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Anti-Money Laundering compliance within the financial services industry.
• Demonstrated ability to set up and implement an effective AML framework within an insurance company.
• Possession of recognized AML certification is highly desirable.
• Proficient in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability in implementing AML measures and addressing potential money laundering risks within the organization.
