Thailand Accounting Leader
About this position
Responsibilities
• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations, and coordinate with external auditors as required.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• In-depth knowledge of local accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
• Possessing strong people management skills is important.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Having expertise in SAP and Oracle is preferable.
• Experience in transformation projects can also be a nice additional.
