Customs Strategy and Compliance Specialist (Contract)

About this position

To guarantee and ensure regional compliance requirements regarding the import and export of goods. Also, to drive continuous improvements and cost saving initiatives while complying with classification regulations and the implementation of legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with the customs and foreign trade policies in the country, implementation measures to cover legal requirements and laws.
• Coordinate internal and external audits related to customs and foreign trade and ensure compliance to all customs procedure.
• Manage and update information and date in local customs and foreign trade in systems including GTS where applicable.
• Offer consultation for sourcing, pricing, preferences, best solutions for the import and export of goods, CFT compliance.
• Implement reports around customs and foreign trade.
• Manage registration and qualification for AEO and duty-free regulations.
• Oversee BOI related issues including import of raw material and machinery under BOI privileges and coordinating with BOI officer.
• Support, initiate and handle to reach the most advantage of FTA and domestics privilege (BOI, Free zone, Bonded warehouse, HS Code ruling etc.) according to the appropriation of project or business model.

Requirements

• Completed study in the area logistics / supply chain management/ foreign trade or related field.
• At least 3 years' work experience in an international company in the area logistics / supply chain.
• Expert on customs and foreign trade, especially on legal obligations.
• Ability to drive self-initiated projects that impact multiple function.
• Understanding of Domestic International Logistics Service Market.
