About this position

The Senior Legal Manager will provide expert legal advice, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and manage various legal matters within the company.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice to senior management and various departments on a wide range of legal issues.
• Ensure the company’s compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and legal documents, including but not limited to service agreements, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Implement contract management best practices.
• Manage and oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes.
• Liaise with external counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings, if necessary.
• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate legal risks.
• Support corporate governance activities, including preparing board materials, minutes, and resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance policies and procedures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that policies are up-to-date and in compliance with legal requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on legal issues, corporate policies, and regulatory compliance.
• Stay current on legal trends and developments, and disseminate relevant information to the legal team and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm, with significant exposure to corporate law, litigation, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including corporate governance, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
