About this position

The Packaging Executive is responsible for managing packaging development and testing processes, ensuring quality and compliance while seeking opportunities for innovation and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the system and steps for packaging development, and seek opportunities to streamline and expedite the packaging development process.
• Liaise with suppliers through the procurement department and/or gather packaging information from various sources to develop new products or packaging, find replacement packaging, or reduce costs.
• Develop experimental plans for packaging to ensure quality throughout the process and meet delivery deadlines to customers.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to define packaging specifications, standards, experimental plans, and finished product requirements.
• Provide recommendations and guidance on the impact of packaging changes due to material changes or packaging specification standards.
• Develop innovative and sustainable packaging that complies with regulations or customer requests.
• Test packaging properties.
• Assess compatibility with production machinery and processes.
• Analyze and summarize test results.
• Prepare and follow up on packaging test request documents.
• Prepare summary reports of experimental results.
• Create packaging specifications and standards documentation.
• Register documents according to the system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in packaging development and testing.
• Familiarity with packaging materials, processes, and machinery.
• Proficiency in using software for design and analysis of packaging.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for packaging.
• Continuous learner with a focus on improving packaging processes and reducing costs.
