R&D Process Engineer (FMCG) - (35k - 45k)
About this position
We're looking for a passionate and innovative R&D Process Engineer to join our SAND-M Global team. This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and continuously improving our food and beverage processes – especially for beverage, jelly, and gummy products – to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities
Process Development :
• Design and execute experiments to develop new food and beverage processes, focusing on beverage, jelly, and gummy production.
• Scale up processes from lab to pilot plant and full-scale production, ensuring optimal efficiency and capacity.
Process Improvement :
• Analyze existing processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Implement process improvements to enhance quality, consistency, and cost-effectiveness.
Productivity Improvement :
• Analyze production data to pinpoint areas for productivity enhancement.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase throughput, yield, and resource utilization.
KPI Development :
• Collaborate with Production to define relevant KPIs for tracking the success of new and improved processes.
Innovation :
• Research and propose new technologies and ingredients for product and process improvement.
• Collaborate with product development teams to create unique and market-leading products.
Technical Support :
• Troubleshoot and resolve processing issues that arise in production.
• Provide training and technical guidance to production teams.
Documentation & Reporting :
• Create clear and detailed technical reports, process specifications, and documentation.
Requirements
Qualifications :
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in R&D process development within the food and beverage industry.
• Demonstrated experience with beverage, jelly, or gummy processing is a strong plus.
• Proven track record in process improvement and productivity optimization.
• Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of food processing principles, unit operations, and process engineering.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, experimental design software, and process optimization tools.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
