Manufacturing Engineer (Metal Fabrication)
About this position
The Manufacturing Engineer (Metal Fabrication) is responsible for operating and designing CNC turret punch and laser programs, troubleshooting production line issues, and improving production efficiency while ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
Responsibilities
• Able to operate and design CNC turret punch and laser Program.
• Maintain & troubleshoot any technical problem in the production line.
• Improve production efficiency by planning and analyzing process performance, workflow, capacity, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Handles & follow up on product ECN.
• Handles products from other sites to Malaysia in the areas of detailed parts drawing, assembly drawing, and preparation of Bill of materials, etc.
• Ensure all production activities and processes comply with ISO standards and mandatory regulations.
• To maintain good housekeeping, safety, and hygiene practices.
• To evaluate processes by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
• Solid reporting skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
Requirements
• Degree in Engineering or appropriate field of study or equivalent.
• Must have at least 2-3 years of related working experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in manufacturing, preferably in a Sheet Metal Fabrication working environment.
• Able to communicate in English.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 & 14001 quality management system.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD, Solidworks & other drawing software.
• Strong leadership, has experience directly leading & motivating large and diverse teams.
• Strong sense of urgency, organization, and accountability.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in Manufacturing with a fabrication background.
• Experience with Solid Works is required for creating process prints and designing tools, fixtures, and gauges.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
