Logistic and Warehouse Section Head
About this position
The Logistics and Warehouse Section Head is responsible for developing and executing logistics and warehouse strategies, managing third-party providers, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards while collaborating with various teams to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
• Develop Logistics and Warehouse Strategies: Create and execute logistics and warehouse strategies that align with the company’s objectives and project needs.
• 3rd party Logistics and Warehouse provider Management: Identify, selection, evaluate, and manage relationships with 3rd party provider to ensure timely delivery of high-quality services.
• Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with 3rd party provider to achieve the best possible outcomes for the company.
• Inventory and Warehouse utilization management: Oversee inventory control processes, including warehouse layout, warehouse utilization, stock levels, accuracy, auditing and implement systems for tracking and reporting inventory and warehouse utilization level.
• Equipment and Safety management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment by schedule repairs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and conditions to make informed logistics decisions.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all logistics and warehouse service meet the required quality standards.
• Cost Management: Monitor and control costs to stay within budget while maintaining quality for cost reduction.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement, Program, Operation (production and quality) and other teams to understand and meet the customer needs.
• Compliance: Ensure all logistics and warehouse activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, logistics regulatory including audit from internal & External auditor.
• People Management and development: Manage and develop subordinates for team success.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of logistics, permit/license, regulatory and warehouse activities and ensure all process/procedure update and align with company compliance and EHS.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in logistics and warehouse management within a manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 years of experience responsible on management level.
• Knowledge and experience on Thai customs, Laws, Privilege, Free zone, BOI, Regulatory and FTA (Free Trade Agreement).
• Knowledge and experience to set up and manage Warehouse management system.
• Good command in English both speaking and writing (able to work with foreigner colleague).
• Computer literacy, Excel required.
• Experience or familiar with Oracle system.
• Proactive, result oriented and teamwork leadership style.
